Biography
Chris is a founding Director of Empowering You Ltd, the leadership, diversity and inclusion specialists responsible for the “Empowering Women to Lead Cyber Security” initiative. Chris is a passionate believer in the capacity of authentic and diverse leadership to drive sustainable cultural change in the cyber ecosystem and the “Empowering Women to Lead Cyber Security” programmes are now active in regions across the UK, with a growing alumni network of over 300 empowered and empowering female InfoSec leaders. As Partnerships Director at Empowering You, Chris is responsible for developing collaborative relationships across government, industry and academia with organisations who share their vision for a more diverse, inclusive and successful tech eco-system.
In addition to Empowering You, Chris is also the Founder and Director of a communications and stakeholder engagement consultancy. Prior to starting his own business, Chris had over 14 years experience as Commercial Director for Scotland’s leading political and public sector media company, where he supported many of Scotland’s leadingprivate companies, public bodies, charities and professional associations on their stakeholder engagement, public affairs and public sector engagement strategies.
