Virtual coffee: Operational Technology (OT) Cyber Security: Assessing and Mitigating Risk

As part of ScotlandCyber Week join CENSIS for a catch up over a virtual coffee and connect with companies, researchers and stakeholders. OT is defined as technology that interfaces with the physical world and includes Industrial Control Systems (ICS), Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) and Distributed Control Systems (DCS). These systems are critical to manufacturing and the correct functioning of our modern infrastructure.

There is no fixed agenda for any of our virtual coffees, and we aim for a forum that is open, friendly and encourages conversation. The direction of the discussion always follows whatever people on the call want to talk about, and the conversations are never recorded. Leading the discussion will be Cade Wells, Business Development Director at CENSIS, and joining him is John Hales, Senior Consultant at CGI.

Join us to chat about this subject, share opinions and connect with new people. As always the discussion is driven by you, but some of the topics we might cover includes:
• What are the first steps for SME manufacturers in assessing OT cyber risks?
• What are the typical risks for OT owners?
• How to address information security: confidentiality, integrity and availability
• Adoption of risk management frameworks
• Is the Purdue Model for ICS Security still valid?
• ISA/IEC 62443 standards and NIS2 directive
• Will the EU Cyber Resilience act impact UK businesses?

Registration
The discussion takes place online using Teams. Please register via e-mailing cade.wells@censis.tech. After you register, you’ll receive a confirmation that will include the link to join the discussion. You’ll also received a reminder two days before, and just before the event starts.
