Events

Scottish AI in Schools Week is from Monday 25 to Friday 29 March 2024. Events will bring together teachers, agencies, and organisations from across Scotland. The events will raise awareness of artificial intelligence (AI). They will include examples of how AI can improve learning, teaching, and assessment.

There will be several online sessions throughout the week for practitioners and learners:

Join us on a magical journey into the world of Artificial Intelligence. In this interactive talk, we’ll explore the wonders of AI, discover what we can trust, and embark on a creative adventure through poems and art.

Join Joe Wilson from City of Glasgow College for this professional learning session looking at how we need to change policies and practice to make ethical use of Artificial Intelligence in teaching, learning and assessment.

Join David Lundie from the University of Glasgow for this professional learning session. His interactive workshop focuses on work to co-design resources to help young people recover a sense of autonomy as they navigate increasingly complex digital challenges in their lives.

This session will focus on the ethical dilemmas in Artificial Intelligence. Through engaging discussions and team activities, participants will tackle real-world scenarios, fostering critical thinking and ethical awareness in the digital age.

Celebrate Scottish Artificial Intelligence in Schools Week with Jennifer Ehehalt, Sr. Regional Manager at Common Sense Education, as she showcases how AI literacy will impact our ability to consumer, create and participate in digital spaces in an ethical manner.

In this code along, you and your learners will make a character that reacts to what you say.

Join this interactive online workshop to discover the transformative power of Generative Artificial Intelligence (Gen AI) in education. Tailored for educators keen to bring Gen AI into their classrooms, this session will guide you through leveraging Gen AI for project-based learning, fostering creativity, and refining the art of learning through trial and error.
